LEARNER achiever positivity connectedness arranger
Upon graduating from Cornell University with a degree in math, I set off on the corporate path with a career that included jobs as a corporate trainer, operations/service manager, and systems designer. Along the way I added an MBA from Hofstra University to my resume. In the early 2000s I took a much needed career hiatus to care for my parents and children and to serve my community. During this time, I did something for me - I completed an MA in Theology at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception (did I mention "Learner" is one of my strengths?).
After my break from the paid workforce, I decided to embark on a career where I could help people feel good about themselves ("Positivity" is also a strength). I wanted to set people on the path to self-awareness and personal improvement.
I am a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach. I lead workshops and work one-on-one with individuals from high school through retirement helping them identify and leverage their strengths in their personal and professional lives in order to choose their major, change careers, re-enter the workforce and find fulfilling service work. I also lead workshops and work with businesses and non-profits to build employee/volunteer engagement and increase job satisfaction and productivity.
I am an ASCA certified College Admissions Specialist with many years of experience as a Cornell alumni volunteer meeting with prospective students. My knowledge and background enables me to guide students and parents through the college admissions process from college visits to applications to acceptance.
For me, there's nothing better than watching people have that "aha" moment when it all comes together.
